I’ve been hearing about wisdom lately. Here is more:
“It’s about to get quite noisy.”
That’s what I heard in my heart, about a week ago.
Then, “Come on up and sit with Me — in the Clear Zone. There’s flack flying, words flying; if you are any lower, your signals may be jammed.”
“You NEED the listening, in the Clear Zone with Me; not the jammed-signal, distraction-filled, noisy zone.”
Indeed, it seems pretty noisy in recent days, even now. And in the middle of all that, there’s His admonition to dial down and quietly listen. And not just any listening, it’s listening to Him, our Father God. Listening lets us hear of His real wisdom.
Wisdom from above — here in the Bible, in the book of James, is this in verse 17: “…the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.” Not very noisy! It’s first of all, pure — clean, clear, that’s the first thing. And a whole list follows that.
There’s even a list of the opposite of wisdom, things to flag and not align with. Things for us to let God heal. Previous verses in that same chapter 3 talk about it, in verses 14-16: “But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.”
Clear attributes, ones to align with and ones to separate out from: even listed out for our convenience!
Wisdom from above — is first of all, pure: clear, and static-free.
I want to listen well. And you?
